Youth Emergency Shelter

Attended YES’ Friends of the Shelter appreciation night on Wednesday.  The evening included a screening of “Family on the Edge”.  It’s a fantastic documentary that remind me why I am involved with the Shelter.  They do such good work.

The evening was wonderful.  It was a great opportunity to catch up with some people I haven’t seen for a long time and make some new acquaintances.

Lady Antebellum

Was lucky enough to win FREE tickets to be in the audience for a Bravo! taping of At the Concert Hall Featuring Lady Antebellum.  We were in the 5th row – there were only 6 rows!  It was a small, intimate setting.  The band was relaxed and fun and the music was fantastic.  What a great evening.  Watch it on Bravo! on Tuesday, November 1 at 9PM ET.

Taste of Downtown

Lots of good local food and great deals today on Charlotte Street.  Chips & Dip from Parkhill on Hunter was my favorite treat of the day!

Quickbooks Training

I’ve talked to a lot of people this week who asked if I do Quickbooks training.  The answer is: YES!  My goal is to help your business succeed.  If success means learning how to use Quickbooks so you can do your own bookkeeping, then I want to help you learn.

Peterborough’s Prosperity Tradeshow

Attended the Chamber of Commerce Prosperity Tradeshow yesterday.  I thought I would just spend half an hour or so walking through the Morrow Building but I was still there three hours later!  If you’ve never been, it’s a really great opportunity to get familiar with some local businesses.  I thoroughly enjoyed talking to business owners and managers.   We’ve got lots of great things happening in Peterborough!  Remember the Chamber slogan – Keep your town in business by keeping your business in town!
